Another Year Wiser

I recently celebrated a birthday, and with each birthday God blesses me with, I like to do a little reflection. This year my focus has been self acceptance and self-love. As women we all have things we would like to change about ourselves, make improvements and so forth. However sometimes if we are not careful we can get into a dangerous area where we don't believe we are enough just the way we are, sadly enough I had entered into that zone. Self Care

I recently had the pleasure of talking to a very wise woman about self-care. I told her I was having a hard time believing I even deserved it, because I thought it might be selfish.  I, like most women can think of a million other things to do before I do something for myself. If I were even asked the question what would I do if I could do anything I wanted for myself for one hour in the day I probably couldn't answer the question. The words I AM are two of the most powerful words that will come out of your mouth, because the words that come after define who you think you are and what you become. It can be positive or negative, if you say you are ugly, stupid, fat, unworthy, or broke that is what you become. on the other hand when you speak life to yourself you began to see yourself as the light God created you to be and able to spread life to those in your circle.
